Over the two decades…

The Centre for Educational Research & Developmental Studies (CERDS) has been operating as an independent organization since 1999. For over two decades, we’ve dedicated ourselves to the mission of preparing educators in the Montessori method, shaping not just careers—but futures.

Founded by a small yet passionate group of socially conscious educators and community workers, CERDS was born from a shared belief: that meaningful, sustainable change in education begins with how we prepare the adults guiding young children. Deeply inspired by Dr. Maria Montessori’s child-centered philosophy, our work places the educator at the heart of transformation—empowering them to become thoughtful, compassionate, and responsive facilitators of learning.

We started with a vision—to raise awareness about the Montessori approach and contribute to a brighter, more conscious future for education. What began as a grassroots initiative has now grown into a trusted training institution with a truly global reach.

Today, students from across India, the Gulf countries, North America, Europe, South Africa, Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Far East choose CERDS to begin or deepen their professional journey. Whether through our on-campus programs or our accessible and flexible distance learning options, our courses are led by qualified Montessori graduates with rich, real-world classroom experience. At CERDS, we believe every trained educator becomes a ripple of change in their own community. And that’s how we started—and how we continue to grow.
